Welcome Home Saturday – Spring Inspiration
Today I’m so excited to be joining the lovely ladies who host the Welcome Home Saturday series!
They are such a fun group of girls and I’m absolutely honored to call them friends.
It’s March now so we all are experiencing a little bit of Spring fever and are so excited to share all kinds of ideas with you about Spring.
This coming week I’ll be sharing a Spring tablescape and then I plan to share the rest of our house all dressed up for Spring.
Decorating for Spring is one of my favorite times of year to decorate.
That and Christmas.
There is something so exciting and refreshing about transitioning your home from the calmness of winter to the joy and life of Spring.
An Adoption Update
I shared a couple of weeks ago that we are getting ready for our trip to South Korea and we still are.
This is going to be our first of two trips.
This time we will be attending our court hearing, and the second trip is the trip when we’ll be bringing our daughter home.
It feels like the list of things to finish and pack is neverending.
That being said, I’m going to do my best to make sure I’m still sharing new ideas and all the fun things we’re doing around here, but I’ve got to be honest…
They say the jetlag from a 14 hours time difference is a rough one and I plan on giving myself the grace needed to reacclimate once we return.
So wish us luck haha!
But I’ll jump back into it soon after we return because I have an awesome project planned for our patio that we will need to get started on.
I can’t wait to share it with you!!
Truly I can’t wait to share the entire patio now that it’s finished.
It looks so much better and I’m hoping that it functions so much better.
If you remember we had a new patio installed in October so we haven’t been able to use it yet.
But I have a feeling once we get home with our daughter we are going to be spending a lot of time playing back there.
My New Hobby
Also, did you see my sourdough news this week?
I shared a lemon ricotta cookie recipe with sourdough.
It has been such a rewarding experience.
After doing some research, I made the sourdough starter myself, and I’m loving the journey.
I know sourdough isn’t for everyone, but I honestly can’t put into words the amazing feeling that comes with creating sourdough recipes.
I think I’ll share a cinnamon roll recipe that we’ve made at least 5 times now soon.
It’s amazing!
Everyone who I make it for has loved it.
I actually just put a batch of them in the fridge to bake tomorrow morning, and I think this is the best batch I’ve made so far!!
That is one of the fun things I’ve experienced with sourdough, and probably any recipe really.
Taking the time to follow the recipe and then analyze the final product and make tweaks the next time, has been such a cool experience.
Then doing the same thing the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time.
It might sound silly and like “Duh!” but I’ve never taken notes on my recipes, but it’s been so much fun!
Okay, well I suppose it’s time to get to the fun part of this post.
Enjoy the Spring inspiration.
