Thrifty & Beautiful Shared Bedroom Ideas

To celebrate our girls’ bedroom being finished I wanted to share some shared bedroom ideas that I found for extra inspiration.

I planned to write this and get it out to you last year after we finally finished our girls’ bedroom.

But life happened and before I knew it the holiday season was upon us and it just didn’t happen.

So now that things are calmer I decided to write this post in celebration of our girls’ room reveal even though it’s late haha!

As you read through all these posts you’re going to notice one reoccurring theme among them all.

Everyone found a way to incorporate beautiful heirloom and sentimental pieces into our children’s bedrooms.

It makes me wonder if we’re doing it, at least in part for ourselves.

There is something so very meaningful about walking into the girls’ room and seeing the desk that my great-grandpa built for my grandma.

Oh, and speaking of which, the girls got an amazing Christmas present from Gramma and Pap this year!!

They got the dollhouse that their great-grandpa built and that their aunt played with when she was little.

It’s not in their room yet, because they’re going to be remodeling it with Gramma.

New wallpaper.

New flooring.

And maybe some new frames to display some artwork.

If you’re thinking this makes my Momma heart happy you’re absolutely right haha!

Now let’s get to all these other gorgeous shared bedroom ideas!

Shared Bedroom Ideas | Pine and Prospect Home

This shared bedroom is from my sweet friend Andrea.

Last year, together with her husband, they worked on giving their boys’ room a makeover and I love the way it turned out.

Andrea shares a love for all things vintage and she found the most charming ways to incorporate her vintage finds into this room.

But my favorite part of this makeover is that the boys are sleeping in their great-grandfather’s bed.

We have a three-quarter jenny lind bed that was our girls’ great-grandfathers, and it’s currently set up in our youngest room, just waiting for her to get here.

If you didn’t know we were going to have a third little girl you can read some of our adoption news here.

(We’re so close to bringing her home!)

The other thing I love about this room is the ceiling!

It adds so much character and charm to the room, but in a subtle way.

My husband and I want to do something similar to this when we finally do a master bedroom makeover.

Andrea also has a YouTube channel where you can watch her video of this room’s transformation.

So much fun watching it in a video!

The way Lisa did this room for her girls is brilliant.

They don’t have a closet in this room so they found ways to use beautiful vintage pieces of furniture to organize everything.

Also, as I mentioned before they put an heirloom desk in the girls’ room, which for me just steals the show.

The other part of the girls’ room that I love so much is the amount of detail Lisa put into the bedding for her girls.

I’ll be honest, most of the time I’m lucky just to get the girls to make their beds, but Lisa has created such a cozy place for her girls to rest at night with all the beautiful layers.

You’re going to love how beautiful, simple, and down-to-earth this room is, I just know it!

Shared Bedroom Ideas | Cami – TidBits

This shared bedroom was an absolute labor of love.

All the little details Cami shares are so meaningful.

Like finding out those adorable baby blessing outfits were made by the kiddos grandma AND the ladder they hang on was made with branches in the yard by her husband!

Does it get any better than that?!

She paid so much attention to all the details of this shared bedroom.

Also, she is working on updating another kiddo’s bedroom so make sure you head over to her Instagram and follow along to get all the details as she shares them!

I’m so excited to see this thrift store chair she keeps talking about!

Okay, I have to be honest.

This is not a shared kids room.

BUT I loved this makeover so much I just had to share it!!

The way Deb turned this room into an English cottage bedroom was just too amazing to not include it.

You have to check out the closet door!!

Oh, my word!!

Have you ever heard of a murphy closet door?

Genius and beautiful!
