Welcome Home Saturday: A Home Decor Digest

Today I’m joining 6 wonderful ladies to share a round-up of some inspirational ideas! I can’t say enough how wonderful these ladies are! If you’ve never stopped by their blogs before you absolutely should!

This week has been a gorgeous Fall week in Ohio!

I’ve actually been so cold in my house that the thought of turning on the heat has actually crossed my mind.

Don’t worry!

I’m still holding out haha!

Does anyone else fight through a little bit of cold just so you can get a few weeks without paying for A/C or heat? haha!

My oldest has a soccer game this morning and I’m so excited about wearing PANTS and a SWEATSHIRT to the game!

PS Kindergarten soccer is a wild ride haha!!

But in all honesty, it has been one of the greatest joys of my life watching her run around that soccer field with a BIGGEST smile on her face.

Redoing the Patio

In some really exciting news today my husband and I are going to work on ripping out our back patio!

We’ve been dreaming about redoing our back patio for so long now.

When we first moved in we thought it was great!

It’s just a concrete slab so nothing fancy, but it’s HUGE!

So much space for all the things.

But not too long after we moved in we started getting water in our basement after long hard rains.

After a little investigation, we realized the patio doesn’t slop away from the house as it should.

Then to compound the issue, we have a walk-out basement with a slop on the side of the house that ends right at the base of the basement door.

So not only does the slab not send the water away from the house, the slope on the side of our house dumps the water right in front of the door.

Not to mention, around the fire pit there is a step-down.

We’ve had too many people not realize how close they were to that step and fall.

Which is so scary.

So I’m really excited about redoing the patio area after 4 years of dreaming about it!

Wish us luck!!

Now it’s time for some of the home decor inspiration!
