How to Save Money on Christmas Decor

This year I challenged myself to buy nothing new for Christmas as far as the Christmas decor goes. After doing this I decided to share some of the things I did .

Change the shape of your garland on the mantel

Last year I did a small strand across the top, this year I did an asymmetrical garland

Christmas bells can be hanging bells, garlands, or ornaments

For this space I turned these bells into hanging bells, but they were ornaments last year

Move books from a bookcase to the fireplace with twinkle lights

Last year I did logs with twinkle lights

Broken pieces of garland are perfect for swags

I use these broken pieces to fill in the wreaths and garlands too

Broken pieces of greenery also are great to fill at the bottom of a bowl of pinecones and ornaments

Candles are cozy and beautiful no matter what time of year it is

I'm using these candles as the trees in our Christmas village this year

Ribbon is also a beautiful and subtle Christmas touch. This ribbon is actually dyed fabric ripped into ribbon.
