Use muslin fabric for the ribbon. You can fray all the edges and give it an even more casual and relaxed look, not to mention you can dye it for any season!
The next thing I did was hang the grapevine wreath on a hook. I like to assemble my wreaths hanging, instead of flat. then begin to add the foundation stems.
A tip I learned last year is to hair spray your forged stems before using them. By doing this you prevent the leaves from falling off as easily.
After I had my earth tone stems from outside on the wreath, I began adding my faux. stems. I just fill each type of stem in until it feels balanced.
Next, I added a little clustered of dried yellow flowers to create a little bit more visual interest for the wreath. Not that it needed it with all the text from the dried and forged stem!
The last thing I did was add my ribbon. For this wreath, a coffee-dyed ribbon would have been beautiful.
