Brilliant Colors of Fall Home Tour: Simple Fall Touches
One of the reasons I love Fall so much is all of the colors. I love how the leaves turn from green to yellow, orange, and red. Nature itself seems to turn calm and cozy with all the warm tones.
It’s Septemeber and that means Fall is on at my house! It’s my favorite season and I am always excited to pull out the Fall decor and experience all the cozy Fall has to offer. I’m so excited to be apart of this Fall Home Tour! Special shout out to Kelly at The Tattered Pew and Mansa at This Is Simplicite for all their hard work organizing the Brilliant Colors of Fall Home Tour! Don’t forget to check out all the other gorgeous homes at the bottom of this post!

Brilliant Colors of Fall Home Tour- Nature Inspired
One of my favorite ways to decorate my home is to look outside and see what nature is providing. In the winter I have bare branches and evergreens. The spring provides buds on trees. In the Summer I have beautiful floral blooms and in the Fall I have neutral grasses and brilliant leaves.
When I looked outside this year I was struck with the amount of yellow everywhere. I’ve certainly seen a little orange, but this early in the season, I’m seeing more green and yellow than orange. So, when I went to revamp my artificial fall florals at Rustik Market I focused on yellow’s and neutral grasses.
By doing this I was able to stick with my normal neutral color pallet and still incorporate pops of color to signify the season. But I also had to add pumpkins, because is it really fall if we don’t have pumpkins haha?!
Entryway Fall Décor
For this space, I used some beautiful autumn olive stems I found walking around outside. This bush has mostly green leaves with some turning a brilliant yellow at this time of year. It also produces little red edible berries in the fall. I haven’t ever eaten an autumn olive berry, but I think they look gorgeous and add to the Fall decor!
The autumn olive has small pops of yellow, but I wanted to increase the amount of yellow to enhance the fall spirit in the house. So, I added these cute sprigs of yellow eucalyptus I found at Rustik Market. This is the first time I’ve ever mixed an artificial plant with a real plant. I’m happy with the way it turned out! By doing this I was able to maintain the real plant look, while simultaneously changing the colors to create the look and feel I desired.
I also added a flannel to the DIY coat rack. This flannel I had hanging in my closet coordinated perfectly with the yellow from the autumn olive. Even though the flannel isn’t technically décor, it speaks to the feeling of Fall. But, it also provides me with a way to stay warm right before I walk out the door. It serves two purposes, and if you remember from my functional decor post, my favorite pieces of décor are the ones that go beyond beauty with function.
Living Room Fall Décor
For the living room, I kept with the Fall floral theme, but I also mixed in some of our pillows that offer neutral colors. I absolutely love theses cream pillow covers. I heard about KilimPillowOriental a few weeks ago. When I went to her Etsy page I fell in love with her story and her pillow covers! If you need some new one-of-a-kind pillow covers I recommend checking this shop out. Bonus: The pillow covers were here within 3 days!!
I also added some autumn olive stems to a galvanized bucket and again I mixed in some yellow sprigs to enhance the yellow. I also switched out the green wreath on the old window for a yellow and orange leaf wreath.
This wreath is actually a piece of garland I picked up at Rustik Market. With an embroidery hoop and floral wire, I was able to turn this garland into a wreath for cheaper than a wreath costs! Also, by doing this I created consistency within the space. I purchased two pieces of the garland and left one as a garland and put it on the mantel.
I try to create a cohesive feel by repeating textures, colors, and florals throughout our living space. Mainly because we have an open concept home, but also because I like the consistency. By doing this the whole space feels like it belongs together even though they are separate rooms.
Speaking of the mantel, I decided to keep the mantel simple. I left the vintage mirror I found on marketplace a while ago as the anchor for the mantel décor. Then I added the garland for the base. After I had that I decided to add a cluster of pumpkins, because like I said, is it truly fall if there are no pumpkins? Then to balance the mantel, I added 2 brass candlesticks on either side of the mirror.
Cozy Corner
I posted some of these images a couple weeks ago when I shared the post about what makes a home just right. I love this cozy corner so much! For this space, I have some artificial mustard yellow florals from Rustik Market. These are probably my favorite of all the florals I picked up this year! I’m not sure what it is, but I’m thinking it has something to do with the way it so seamlessly coordinated with all the yellow I see outside my window.
I also added a small pop of orange in this space. Orange is a traditional fall color and showed up in the garland. I didn’t want it to be the only place in all my fall décor that orange was spotted. So I added these orange pillow covers and a sprig of orange eucalyptus to an amber vase and set it on the side table. For the cozy corner, the orange really helps increase the cozy feeling.
Dining Room Fall Décor
My absolute favorite part of my Fall Home Tour decor is this piece of artwork. I went to my first flea market of the season a couple weeks ago. On that trip, I brought home my first oil painting. I’m in love with it!! (When we got home we saw it was painted the year my husband was born. So we call it “Daddy’s Painting” now haha!)
This wasn’t the first oil painting I saw at the Flea Market, but it was the first oil painting I saw that spoke to me. Honestly, I didn’t even see all the Fall flare it had initially. It wasn’t until we were driving home that I realized the trees in the back were yellows, oranges, and browns, and the tree up front was naked. After I realized this, I knew exactly where I wanted to incorporate this piece into my fall décor.
I love the way the painting looks beside the artificial grasses in a galvanized bucket and a couple amber vases. It’s the pop of color to the otherwise neutral vignette. I couldn’t be happier with this piece of art being the focal point for my fall pie safe décor.
The rest of the dining room fall décor is really simple. I used a slab of wood I told you about in the boho garden picnic post as a base for an amber vase with autumn olive stems and a candle and pumpkins. With young kiddos, the dining room table décor has to be simple, minimal, and easy to grab and move for playtime at the table! This fits the bill! It’s been beautiful to look at and easy to move back and forth when we need the space.
The pot and pan rack looks similar to how it usually does. However, I did hang some dried floral on the rack, and placed a market basket I purchased from amazon on the bench. Then I filled it with – you guessed it! Autumn olive with some extra yellow!
I love the texture and warmth that the market basket adds to this little corner. It was in this same location with summer florals when I shared my Dining Room Makeover with you a few weeks ago, and I guess it stuck! I’m sure it won’t stay there forever, so stay tuned to see where this little cutie shows up next!
Well, that’s all I’ve got for you today for the Brilliant Colors of Fall Home Tour, but the fun and Fall inspiration isn’t over yet! Head over to Lindsay’s page at Aratari At Home and find some more Fall decor to inspire you this year!

Your home looks wonderful decorated for fall. The oil painting that you found was a great score and it looks wonderful on your dining room shelf. My vintage loving eye couldn’t stop staring at your typewriter and then as I was scrolling, I realized that your typewriter is on an old stereo console (I think). It was a pleasure to enjoy your post with my morning coffee.
Aliya
Thank you so much!! Yeah, the stereo is from great grandma and grandpa!! It used to be in the basement but we never used it down there. So we moved it up to the living room. It’s amazing listening to old Christmas records during the Christmas season!! Truly amazing!!

Aliya, your fall home is so pretty, and I love the stems and florals you picked up from Rustik Market… I agree, those orange ones are my fave (but they don’t see to have them online)! Would love to see a close-up of the olive branches, too! That MCM cabinet you have (at least it looks a bit MCM), is that a record player cabinet? So fun touring with you!
Aliya
Yesss!!! The record player is from my husband’s grandparents! Its at its finest during Christmas with Christmas records crackling!! Who needs HD when you can listen to records!!! The Nastalgia!!!!
Ann
I luv you flower arrangements and how beautifully styled they are in all your rooms for fall🍃🍁🍂
Aliya
Thank you so much Ann!!! I love all the florals!! 😊
Kelly Radcliff
Aliya oh my word your Fall home tour was my favorite…shh, don’t tell the others! I think it’s because you used all of the natural florals from outside mixed with some faux. All those natural textures speak to my love language. Plus, your variety of containers caught my eye as well! So well done my friend. Thanks fro joining us this week. Pinned!
Aliya
Hahaha!! Kelly, you’re a hoot!!! I completely agree with your thoughts on natural florals! There is something special about bringing something God created into your home, instead of something man created. Minus the mess I have to clean up after they are all dried out, there is truly no floral I love more! And the containers for those florals…it’s kind of a problem and maybe a point of contention between the hubby and me. It goes something like this A: “I think I’m gonna buy this! What do you think?” J: “I think you have enough things to put your flowers in!” First of all…they aren’t just THINGS…they are VESSELS!! bahahaha Then I smile and he laughs! 🙂 Have a great weekend friend!!
